One might even wonder - who the hell would bother to put a page up here.

It seems, that would be me.

If this were a command executed on a linux box, and I executed it myself, it would probably tell me something like:

For real now...

Now, for real: My name is Jan De Luyck, I'm a 31-year old male from Belgium.
I've lived the biggest part of my live in Erembodegem, a small village near Aalst, which is in the middle between Ghent and Brussels.

I spend a lot of time behind PC's, most of it at work. I work at KBC, one of the big Belgian banks, where I am in the support group for the KBC Dealingroom. My specialty is the unix side of things, with a special care for the Murex servers.

On a more personal note, I'm in a long-term relationship with my sweetest Diana, who's site you can find here.

During my free time, I'm also quite often found behind my PC, coding or playing a game (I'm in a gaming group, the Wandering Wolves). When not, I can be found playing the BagPipe (I play in a band, the Flemish Caledonian Pipes & Drums), reading a good book (anything that's fantasy or science-fiction will be devoured) or wachting the 739283th rerun of some Startrek episode. Yes, I'm a Trekkie, but only because I watch the shows and like 'em. I'm _not_ going to be seen in a uniform walking around on one of them expo's,s no sir! ;p

During the weekends I also participate in some RPG (our group currently mixes AD&D 2nd edition and D&D 3rd edition).
